Twisted Mix Tape Tuesday-Ending The Decades With Lucky 13!

So fellow bloggers, the time has come for all of us Twisted Mix Tape Blogsters to say  "Goodbye" to the decades that this glorious blog hop @ jenkeh.com has brought to our musical inspired blogging fingertips.  I have to admit that I was pretty sad to see the decades end, and feeling a little bit of writers block I had to, yet again,  turn to my trusty iTunes library to get me inspired to write this post...so I really don't have a theme for this post...these are just my top 5 songs that I chose to share with all of you...that I just really LOVE...that I listen to ALL THE TIME!  So having said all that...let's just get this party started already!

Halo-Beyonce'-So I have to admit that I am NOT a huge Beyoncé fan but for whatever reason this song just makes me belt out the chorus line that would rival one of the best drunken karaoke singers of ALL time!!!

Someone Like You-Adele-This song just makes me think of that one love that got away...when I first heard this song I seriously got on iTunes and downloaded it RIGHT AWAY!  No lie...I scared the crap out of the dog as I completed this Olympic leaping feat...there really should be an event for the fastest iTunes downloader...I would totally dominate that event!  HAHAHAHAHAAA!

Now-Paramore-For whatever reason when I hear those drum sticks beat together at the beginning of this song, I feel my vocal cords getting ready for some serious Rockin' out!  Holy Crap that chick can belt out a tune!

Collide-Howie Day-All I can say is BEST SONG EVER to sing with your girlfriends!  If you have not done this you all really should...it is CRAZY fun! :)

Seven Devils-Florence + The Machine-So I first heard this song as the closer to the cliff hanger on Revenge and I was HOOKED!  I LOVE Florence + The Machine but this song is hauntingly good...seriously gives me shivers every time I listen to it!

Bonus Pick:  Cups-Anna Kendrick-Yeah...so I am one of those people who watched Pitch Perfect and could not get enough of the music in that movie!  I love the OG rendition of this song and HAD to put it up here to end this glorious Blog HOP!  You all can thank me Later!

So there you have it people! I have wandered through the decades with all of you and I am sad to see this end but I would be lying if I am not looking forward to whatever else Jen has to throw our way!  Knowing Jen whatever it is it will be FANTASTIC!  Can't Wait!

What am I listening to as I pen this bloggary:  Pokerface, by Lady GaGa

  1. I'm listening to Perfect by Pink as I read your list and it seems kind of appropriate :) And yes, Collide best car song ever. Except when you are belting it out and forget its summer and you have the windows down.

  2. Awesome list. I have a friend who LOVES Paramore, and just can't get enough of them. I think he's even wrangled a meeting with them.

And the Cups song! *adore* I got taught the cups-tappy-cup-tap by a girl at church (we were minding the creche but there was only one toddler, so in between entertaining her, we used the stacking cups to practice - the little girl was entranced)

  4. I am a huge fan of Florence and the Machine (not really how that came to be...finding her, not the liking her part).

the Collide song is familiar from the car (pre-sets range from college radio to pop to dinosaur rock to pop)... good song.

  5. So do you want to know the truth or not? I love Halo, the Glee version, LOL. This is a great list, I loved listening to it as I did other things on the computer. And I tried so hard to watch Pitch Perfect, just couldn't but that video is awesome and I can't tell you how many young girls I have seen do that cup thing recently!

    1. I now have to watch the Glee version of that song! I am not a big TV watcher so I haven't been following Glee but now I MUST go out and check their version out! ;)

  6. I only started the TMT the week before we began the decades, so I'm a little nervous to be heading out of familiar territory. I love that Howie Day CD and I just watched Pitch Perfect a couple weeks ago and enjoyed it a lot. Glad you included it.

    1. Howie Day...what can I say? That song is just so easy to sing to...and I agree...I am a little bit nervous about taking my musical prowess up a notch! We shall see how I do right? ;)

  7. So, Paramore. Can I marry her? Do ya think?

  8. Paramore & Florence & The Machine are two of my favorites! I love Adele's voice and the tuneage, but the lyrics of that song make me angry. I'm not sure why. I had no problem listening to Cure's "Disintegration" over and over again in my dark room after a breakup. :)

    1. Oh I know the lyrics are totally sad and the really sad part is that I was reading that she wrote that song about her and a relationship that she had that was not reciprocated! Seriously? That dude has to be slapping himself shitless right now! What.An.Idiot!
